If you contact ART VPS customer support please follow this advice, so we can resolve your query as quickly as possible:

Give as precise a description as possible

Tell us which application you are using and which version

Tell us which version of RenderPipe you are using and which versions of the PURE or RenderDrive software are installed

If you have seen a warning or error message, give the exact text of the message

Try to send an example file. Send as small a file as possible, so we can resolve the question quickly - it can take longer to understand a large file than to answer the question.

If you send a file, include all bitmaps and other files it uses.

If appropriate send a rendered image. It may be helpful to annotate the render to highlight a question or problem.

If you are seeing an error or warning message, or the render stops, also send the PURE or RenderDrive log file. (Right click on the PURE icon and choose diagnostics. For RenderDrive, see the question about enabling log messages.

If we ask you for more information, please answer all our questions.

The new RenderPipe plug-ins for Autodesk VIZ 2006 and for Alias Maya 6.5 are available on the software download page. They have the same password as other RenderPipe downloads.

The software update files are password protected. Please contact ART VPS customer support for the passwords or for software versions not listed on this page.

The current PURE and RenderDrive user manuals are available in PDF format on the manuals page.

The previous software releases are still available if required: release AV4, release AV3 with HDRI, release AV3, release AV2 or release AV1. They are also password protected, with different passwords to the current release.

RenderStudio is a collection of scene libraries designed to be used with RenderDrive and PURE. They provide ready built environments in which you can place your own objects, saving you modelling time.

To get the most realistic results from RenderDrive and PURE, it is worth modelling an environment for your scene. This is especially true if you are using RenderPipe materials because they do not use fake specular highlights, instead reflecting their surroundings thus giving physically correct highlights.

RenderStudio includes libraries for 3ds max (4, 5 and 6), Autodesk VIZ 4 and Maya (4.5 and 5).

If you haven't registered your PURE or RenderDrive with us yet, please take a moment to fill in and return the registration form. This form must be completed and returned to access our phone, fax and e-mail technical support services, and to receive product upgrade information and privileges.
